Florida Rules

St Dad – LP (vinyl rites). Eponymous release from these Gainesville mayhem makers.

Church Whip – 7″ (fallow soul/self released).  Tampa metal.  Live show kills.

Holly Hunt – Year One (Roofless). Double LP from Miami. Ex floor/cavity. Comes with earplugs!

Severe disappointments – 7″ (Iron Forge Press).  Members of Classic Florida bands: morbid opera, roach motel, chickenhead and crumbs come together to put out a gem. Sick packaging.

Sewn Leather/HOAX/ectoplasm at 911 house. Show of the year.  Reaffirmed that all is good in the world. It’s on YouTube for those that missed it.  Thanks Andrew Chadwick.

The Laboratory – I miss the Lab.

Dead Can Dance – Anastasis.

Bad Brains – Into the Future (Megaforce). Oozing positive love.

2 Live Crew at the Dirty Bar/Thornebrook Village. Filthy raunchy booty dance party. Original members!

Post Teens & Rose Cross live.

JAWSOME – Life’s Beachy. Local Spring Break hardcore.

Waylon Thornton and the Heavy Hands – theheavyhands.bandcamp.com – just go.  Lake Butler represented. He does art too.

Ectoplasm tape

Radiation tape

Pill Church tape (R.I.P.)

Three must see local bands. Three must have tapes.  Cassettes rule!

Wayward Council – last show send off. Too many bands to list.  R.I.P.

Dick Dale, King of the Surf Guitar live at Double Down.  74 years young and completely destroyed it.

Mutley Chix reunion show.  ‘Nuff said.

Arrow’s Aim Records. Crucial vinyl.  You will find something you have never seen before.
